ContraPoints is… Right? But for the Wrong Reasons.

Natalie Wynn (also known as ContraPoints on Youtube) released a video entitled “Voting”. She talks about how you need to put aside your more radical views and look at the bigger picture. Natalie speaks to her more communist audience by saying what you want is not what the average American wants and that expecting change right away is unrealistic. She also says that if you want change, you have to be willing to use incremental change or at least use your vote to not lose the change that has been made for the better so far.

What she says is right. But for all of the wrong reasons and for the wrong side she is talking about. What is actually good for America is reducing the control the radical left has over America. And to do that, the more libertarian or liberty-minded need to vote for Trump. Like Natalie says for Joe Bided, I will say for Trump. You don’t have to agree with him or like him. However, Trump is a necessity for this country right now. He is the only one who seems to be able to show how radical the left has become. I get that Trump is far from being a libertarian. But he is more liberty-oriented than Joe Biden or Kamala Harris.

I disagree with Trump's increases in gun control and many other issues. I am a Constitutional minarchist for Pete’s sake. I get how you feel about voting for Trump. But voting for Jo Jorgensen or not voting at all is not going to help. Jorgensen will lose and your vote will still be ignored. Voting for the Libertarian party will not get people to listen to you. You have to work within the system.

In the future run for either the Democrat or Republican Party. Vote for the most liberty-minded people running who can actually win. Not for the one who fits your beliefs the most like in the Libertarian Party. They will not win. And don’t throw out your vote by not voting because that will only give more power to the government. We should use the system to at least preserve our liberty. It is possible to make a change on the side of liberty. But you have to do it from within the system, not outside of it. Just look at Rand and Ron Paul. They are conservative libertarians but ran as republicans because that is how they could make a change. They know that the Libertarian Party can’t win a state election let alone a national election. The Pauls have done more for liberty than the Libertarian Party has done in its enter existence. If they can do it, so can you!

Voting for Trump right now is just a way to prevent the left from getting any more radical and a way to prevent even more of our liberty from being taken away. This is a way to preserve as much of our rights as possible for now. That is what it means to be voting for Trump. Not the picking of the lesser of two evils. And it’s not giving up on liberty. It’s about working within the system to make changes gradually. If you want a more liberty-minded country, you have to change it gradually. That is how we win elections and that is how to achieve a more perfect union.
